A better page for a wrong address. A mistyped or outdated link now gets a short letter from us instead of a bare error, in your language, with the way back to the home page, the FAQ and sign-in.

The version you are using is shown in the footer.

Reliability improvements.

Open PDFs in the editor. You can now open a PDF that contains text, through Open or by dropping it on the editor. It is converted in your browser into editable text with its headings, paragraphs and lists, and you review the result before it replaces anything. Pages without text, such as scans, are marked rather than skipped. The anonymised result saves as a Markdown file. Everything happens in your browser, and it keeps working offline once the editor has loaded.

One pseudonym for one person. When the same person is found as "Max", "Max Mustermann" and "Mustermann", drag one onto another in the entity list and confirm, and they share one pseudonym. Restoring the text still puts each form back exactly where it was, and you can separate them again at any time.

Saved files in your language. Saved documents are now named in the language you use redact.al in.

Reliability and security improvements.

Reliability improvements.

Yearly contracts that renew. Paid access now runs on a twelve-month contract that renews on each anniversary unless the firm has said it will not renew. Payment is yearly or half-yearly. If you change your mind, you can withdraw a notice of non-renewal from your account settings while the year is still running. You and your partner are both told.

Clearer notices around trials and renewals. The trial-end and conversion emails now state the twelve-month contract and how often you pay. Partner expiry warnings only mention endings that will actually happen, and say which kind.

See why a trial did not convert. If a trial could not be converted automatically, the partner's trials panel now shows the reason instead of just "ended".

Reliability improvements.

A refreshed look. The public website has been redesigned with easier-to-read text and navigation that works on phones. Its workflow preview now shows the real product. The signed-in workspace (editor, settings, team and partner panels) uses the same design, and tables can be scrolled with the keyboard on small screens.

Reliability improvements.

Trials continue without interruption. Two days before a trial ends, the person using it gets an email that says when it ends and how to end it themselves. If they do nothing, the trial continues as paid access on the package and term chosen at the start, with the same account and the same documents. The partner is told right away. The trial request page now explains both outcomes.

Referral links can be relabelled. Partners can correct the label of a referral link, including a retired one. The address, visit count and enquiries all stay with the link.

More of redact.al in your language. Account settings, confirmation dialogs, the team panel, the administration screens and form error messages now appear fully in your interface language.

Unfinished two-factor setups can be removed. If you started setting up an authenticator app but never finished, you can now remove it with your password and choose a different method.

The automatic renewal checkbox on partner orders has been removed because it had no effect. To renew, place a new order.

Security, performance and reliability improvements.

redact.al is now sold through partners. Reseller partners get their own panel. From there they register client firms, order access for them (also in the same step as registering), activate accounts and manage each firm's people, including whether each invitation arrived. Public prices and the public trial sign-up have been removed. If you want to buy, the contact form puts you in touch with a partner.

Trials from your partner. A partner can send a firm a trial straight from the client's page, sized to the number of people at the firm. Each firm gets one trial, and partners are reminded shortly before a trial ends.

Referral links for partners. Partners can create their own referral links, see the enquiries those links bring in, and get an email whenever a new one arrives. Following a link no longer stores anything on the visitor's device.

Half-yearly terms and ending your own access. You can now order access for six months as well as for a year. You can also cancel from your account settings. A trial stops straight away with nothing owed. A paid access runs until the end of the term already bought. Your partner is told either way.

One person per account. An account can be signed in in only one place at a time. A second sign-in is refused instead of pushing out the first one, and the account is free again once you sign out.

Austrian and Swiss identifiers. Detection now covers Austrian and Swiss IBANs, ATU and CHE VAT numbers, Swiss AHV numbers and Austrian company register numbers, not only German ones. The editor also follows your interface language throughout, and the restored output has its own clear button.

Updated terms and web addresses. The terms now use English as the binding version, describe what you receive as access to a hosted service, name redact.al DOOEL as the contracting party, and explain which terms apply when you buy through a partner. All public web addresses are now in English. The old addresses still redirect.

Security and reliability improvements.

Jump to every occurrence of a value. Click a mapping in the entity panel and the output jumps to its next occurrence and highlights it. Click again to move on to the one after. This makes it easy to check whether "Max", "Max Mustermann" and "Mustermann" are the same person. It works both when anonymising and when restoring.

Better detection of German addresses. Addresses written as separate words, such as "Lange Str. 12" or "Am Markt 3", are now recognised as one complete address instead of loose fragments.

Working offline. Once the editor has loaded, it keeps working and reloads without a network connection, as described in the FAQ.

Your chosen package carries into the contact form. If you pick a plan on the pricing page, the contact form opens with that plan already selected. You can still change it.

See whether the welcome email arrived. On a client's page, sales staff can now see whether the email for setting a password was actually delivered. After a resend, the status shows as pending again instead of claiming success.

Security and performance improvements.

Two-factor authentication by email. You can now secure your account with a code sent to your email address, as an alternative to an authenticator app. Choose it under Settings. You confirm the first code to switch it on, and every later sign-in asks for a fresh one. Available on every account.

Colour matching when restoring a document. When you paste an AI reply back in and restore the original values, both panels are now highlighted, and a placeholder on the left carries the same colour as the value it becomes on the right. Checking a reply is now a matter of matching colours rather than reading twice.

Imported files work like pasted text. Documents imported from CSV or XML now show their placeholders highlighted, and you can adjust detected values or mark new ones by hand, just as with pasted text. They stay editable after you reload the page.

Clearer pricing while we are not selling publicly. The pricing section now shows the actual plans and what is included, with prices on request, instead of a "coming soon" notice.

Referral links can be renamed and retired. Sales representatives can rename a link or take it out of service without deleting it, so its history is kept. The link address itself stays fixed, since it has already been shared.
